The timing is truly funny as hell for sure, but these days, I fear too many of the “this is a response to the Defunctland video” replies to the walking Olaf reveal are being said in earnest and don’t know how much lead up and planning there is to an announcement like that.

It's weird to not only have lived through an information revolution but also now living through its undoing, all within less than a generation.
Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

Honestly, I think it's because "X-rated" sounds cooler and dirtier than "NC-17."
It’s weird that numerous filmmakers lately are touting their films as being “X-rated” when the rating hasn’t been used in over thirty years. Where is this coming from and why can’t anyone just accept and commit to the NC-17?
