Williams have a quite an aggressive floor slot set up ahead of the rear tyre.
Plus, the slotted diffuser opening is apparent here.

Just read this article with Formula E drivers opining on the comparison of the new F1 cars/regs to FE.

I’m more convinced than ever that—once the teams and engineers settle into things—this is Carlos Sainz’s moment to shine.
'Not right for F1' - Formula E drivers on Verstappen's 2026 jibe
Max Verstappen's description of the new Formula 1 cars as "Formula E on steroids" has elicited varying reactions from the electric championship's paddock - including sympathy

Fun Fact - The same driver has set the fastest time in Bahrain preseason testing the last two seasons but he’s done it in different colours.

2025: Carlos Sainz (Williams)
2024: Carlos Sainz (Ferrari)

True Fact: Having completed two 200km filming days, Williams has logged about 100km more than Aston Martin before Bahrain testing.

Some interesting things the FW48 spec sheet (if real) does tell us:

- Pull-rod front suspension, reversal from FW47. Cadillac & maybe Alpine also pull-rod front at shakedown

- Push-rod rear suspension, same as FW47. Every other team EXCEPT Cadillac & maybe Alpine also push-rod rear at shakedown
Here's the technical specifications for the FW48.

The way I broke my X boycott because I am weak in the face of opportunities to correct rampant misinformation 😔

Seeing a lot of fans get excited at the weight on the spec sheet.

I’m not claiming to know (or even guess at) anything about the real weight of the FW48, but reality check for Williams fans:

The February 2024 spec sheet for the very overweight FW46 reported the then-minimum weight of 798kg.
Here's the technical specifications for the FW48.

We’ll miss you Jensen 😢
Jenson Button has been appointed team ambassador for Aston Martin, having previously held the same position at Williams. He will represent the team at global events, partner programmes and media engagements. #F1

So I intentionally never took credit for this graphic in 2024 because I didn’t want the attention from opps, but since I keep seeing shoddy updates of it pop up in various places, here’s an *official* update.

I still don’t want credit for it, so anyone is welcome to disseminate, just don’t @ me

The Vowles Verdict is out, and the first question is from yours truly!☺️

I asked James about the frustrating quali and the drivers' headspace, but there are also questions about the strategy, some "how does it feel" questions, and an interesting one about expectations. Definitely recommended!

Not a 10.0 for Carlos even though I have no idea what he could have done any better but nice to see the recognition
That's a perfect 🔟 for Max Verstappen! 👏

Just read that there were 9 months and 13 days between Carlos driving a Williams for the first time and him bringing home a Williams podium. Now that I have my induction date scheduled, I can say he carried that child barely longer than I’ll be carrying my own 😭

Hot take: I don’t think Sparkles/Sprinkles the Unicorn is what powered Carlos to a podium.

I think it was the good credit Carlos earned with the universe when he followed through on his promise to sport a silly unicorn sticker on his helmet simply because a little fan asked 🦄 ✨

Fight at the front aside, Alex showed strong pace for his drive through the field. Fell short of the points but a promising performance for the car nonetheless. I expected the Haas cars to trouble him more.
RACE PACE 📊
(Impacted by traffic!)

VER quickest (could manage his pace)
RUS was a close 2nd (+0.15s/lap) despite traffic following a bad start

SAI and ANT bridged the gap between the top 2 and the 'others' (NOR, TSU, Ferrari and Racing Bulls)

Alpine was dead last

Another reason I’m happy Carlos finally the got a result he deserved: With Carlos’s new total of 31 pts for the seasons, that loud minority of losers can no longer claim Williams would still have P5 in the WCC if Alex were the only driver. Carbono is the key!
