Enjoyed the call of the Pies-Lions game today. Just for future reference Lily Postlethwaite's surname is pronounced Possel-wait, i.e. the 'th' is silent.
I didn't tell you to, it was a suggestion 🙂
I was trying to work out how much the Lions would need to beat Collingwood by in order to overtake Melbourne on the #AFLW ladder. Answer: too much. Just win then eh? Go Lions #aflwpieslions
This is a brilliant novel. Steve Lyons, all his stuff was excellent. The Witch Hunters is one of my favourite pieces of Who extended universe work
The Daleks are literal space Nazis though. Maybe they should've screamed "SO MUCH FOR THE TOL-ER-ANT LEFT!"
I think you're thinking of the fifth Doctor, in Resurrection of the Daleks, and if you look closely he doesn't actually open fire when everyone else does. There are a few other examples though, most notoriously the third Doctor takes a ready gun and shoots an Ogron in Day of the Daleks.
Still puzzling over what this means tbh
I'm glad you posted this, because I was reading complaints about the sign and thinking "Isn't that what it looked like though?"
It's not actually, it's the sequel, "Daleks: Invasion Earth 2150AD" (1966)
Haven't seen this one before. Nice.
Peter Cushing in Dr. Who and the Daleks (1965)
I wondered. I could smell the vinegar
Original Who fan here. I tried to watch a Trek TOS episode once but I was like hold on there a moment, what's with all the scene changes and how's this story over ALREADY
The sort of restoration all Who fans can get behind
Very much enjoyed the discussion, thanks! Was this recorded before your hiatus or more recently?
Morrison is exceedingly strange and not the person I'd want in charge of my favourite programme. I don't think they'd be a better choice than RTD at all.
Fair enough. I was probably assuming greater familiarity with it.
This was an interesting read Gemma. I wonder what changed for her Dad and when. Lots of questions!
Well, that one negative probably applies to anything else you choose.
Looking forward to hearing more about this long journey
Why you needed to go to an oil rig to do that, I'll never know 😁
