More split-screen screenshots

I've repurposed multiplayer lobby UI for it. Compared to multiplayer though, it doesn't use cars from your garage, you're free to choose any car you want, but there's no damage or tuning sadly

I've managed to bring back split screen support. It was rotting away for months now, with ghosts of its existence creeping around the code. Took a couple of hours to get it to render all the new features

This is the first track in game that isn't off-road. It does take a lot more patience and precision to make these more precise curves, specially considering that my level editor is not exactly suited for that

A small rant but I've been trying to switch to GIMP 3 from 2.1 for the past couple of months and it's just such a horrible experience all around. Non-destructive editing is just broken and gives me all kinds of weird bugs, and somehow it seems like I'm the only person having issues with it

One thing I've just learned while making multiplayer is that latency jitter is the real cause for bad MP experience. 1000ms latency with 10ms of jitter will be butter smooth, while 200ms latency with 100ms of jitter will wreck havoc on anything having extrapolation

Ok releasing the demo last week was a lie. I did manage to clean up the game real well, but last moment I thought: "Perhaps multiplayer would help the demo gain traction"

CPU opponents now learn from their mistakes. If they can't reach the checkpoint, they'll lower their speed and braking distance until they reach the next one

One of the worst things I've been dealing with while making the game are CPU opponents. It's been 5 months since I've started working on them and every month I come back and try to improve their speed and getting very minor gains. Managed to shaved off 8 seconds out of a 80 second lap today though

Snowflakes! In the future I plan to introduce more complex weather effects such as rain, but for now all winter maps feature snow falling from the sky
