But the reason I bring it up is that so many people seem to just ellide the fact that EVERYTHING happening is WILDLY illegal and has safeguards in place to stop it that are being TOTALLY ignored. So when you say "Voting will be safe" my eyes roll so fucking hard they fall out.

In the past I would 100% agree. But the days where you could trust ANYTHING even remotely connected to anyone on the right are so far gone they may as well have never existed at this point.

I mean I'm not an expert on VVPAT but I've been a voter for almost four decades and seen every single aspect of any software-based technology ever created be manipulated by bad actors. And I've never seen worse actors than the MAGA GOP when it comes to elections.
