Due to a long migraine flare up recently, I haven't been able to juggle the worldbuilding and writing necessary for original fiction. So my main project at the moment is a Supergirl fanfic in which she arrived with baby Kal-El in Gotham. I'm 13k words in so far! archiveofourown.org/works/71432916

Rest.

I tell ppl all the time, nothing in nature produces constantly. You need periods where you rest, where you gather energy/inspiration, where you have the experiences that will inform your writing. Take the cue to set the pen down and step away for a season. It'll be better that way.

I'll share this for anyone interested, bc I think they should knos it's an option; but honestly, I was checking out of Nanowrimo before all the AI stuff just because November is quite possibly the worst possible month for me to try it. But check the notes, there are 2 sites being discussed here!

Can I use generative AI to write during NaNoWriMo?
NaNoWriMo is a writing challenge intended to get you comfortable writing without fear. Therefore, using generative AI is kind of counter to the whole idea of NaNo. If you're thinking of using AI during NaNo, try without it for just one month, and see how much your craft improves when you're writing regularly. After all... if you're not the one actually writing, what's the point?
