The pinnacle of boundless and illogical human excess in 2025 disguising depression, discontentment, and anxiety. That's what I know.

It sounds ridiculous, but mark my words, in no time Black Friday will start the week after Labour Day.

Good job being "All the News That's Fit to Print", NY Times.

Newsflash:
That the number one thing online about cooking turkey is ways to make it taste good should be a huge sign that this is an inedible bird. Leave the poor things alone, tens of thousands get slaughtered to never be eaten. Many are discarded by supermarkets.

Stop it. Leave turkeys alone.

Do not.
Ever.
Force your children.
To hug and kiss anyone if they do not want to.
Même s'il s'agit d'une bise en Europe.

ANYone. Ever.

They don't need to learn that social norm unless they want to when they're old enough to know why it's done.
Many parents are teaching their children that they don’t have to hug anyone they don’t want to—but not all relatives are understanding. Rheana Murry on the new rules of family affection:
The Family Hug Standoff
Many parents are teaching their children that they don’t owe anyone physical affection—grandparents included.

A perfect example of why health care (in addition to rising anti-anglophone nationalism) is one of the biggest reasons we're leaving Quebec.

I'd love for everyone who called me and others a pessimist for not believing Netanyahu, the IDF, and Trump on the "end of the war [sic: invasion]" to apologise.

But they won't.

Because they haven't got the guts. And it doesn't suit their anti-Palestine narrative.

Someone on tiktok challenged people to find something more beautiful.
Ok, the Musée Albert-Kahn, which wasn't lived in by absolute bigots while regular people on who built it suffered every day of their lives.
If you enjoy walking around in a 17th Century Mar-a-Lago, go ahead. I find it despicable.

Hey, I know!.. Why don't we all ignore this!
Or better yet, file it under "underlying condition" like when everyone white took their masks off because Covid was found to more strongly affect people of colour.

Bird flu killed someone.
Again.

Maybe the journalists should be "frank" with her. I'm sure they can come up with a lot of "frankness" towards her.
Karoline Leavitt, President Trump's press secretary, on Thursday spun an incident in which Trump called a reporter from Bloomberg "piggy" last week, saying journalists should appreciate the "frankness."

Wish there was more general compassion in disability spaces on this site & less judgment overall. People aren't bad if they don't share every belief that you do. Infighting is never the way to go & these times are hard enough

Despite living in New York, Toronto and Paris, I have never been so presently aware of the problem of homelessness than the past 3 years in Montreal.

Not even close to those other cities.
“Every year it feels like the City of Montreal is blindsided by the problem of homelessness — particularly in winter — and it’s completely unacceptable.

“The city should develop a plan to create as many temporary shelters as needed to get 100% of the homeless population off the streets.”

The only thing crystal clear from the lack of weight the Epstein email story has today is how many high level people are clearly involved as well. Because otherwise, where are the important voices demanding answers?

Nowhere, because they don't want to provoke fingers getting pointed their way.

I've rarely declared something appalling. But this is appalling. Leaves an unpleasant taste in the mouth at the idea of watching anything BBC anymore. As if the Lineker fiasco wasn't enough.

Thank goodness for #Channel4 and #ITV.
