Well said. Our Government should tell MAGA to eff right off with their 'data collection' on migrants in Aotearoa. #nzpol

It’s hard not to believe that Luxon’s move to dump regional councils isn’t just another way to remove obstacles to rampant corporate profit making at our expense.

More emissions, more pollution more contaminated drinking water, more intensive dairy, more roads and less accountability.

Or else he knows they do a lot of conservation stuff and we can't be having that.
Going out on a limb here to suggest that the PM doesn’t understand what it is that regional councils do

The US government is now investigating duly elected Democratic Senators for reminding military servicepeople that they should follow the law.

Let’s be real. This isn’t only about threatening Mark Kelly with court martial. It’s to remind those serving to be loyal to a fascist tyrant.

Just a friendly reminder as we go into the holidays:

Folks don't have to explain to you why they don't drink.

If you offer them a drink and they decline, don't ask them why. It's not your business.

Just offer them something without alcohol to drink instead. And move on.

It's really hard to defend government, vital services, or city councils using Facebook as their primary *or only* channel of communication with the people those institutions purport to serve.
It’s really hard to defend industry academic collaborations with meta as earnest, if they’re internally burying evidence of harm.

Any chance of standing for a different seat given how fabulous she is (I have no idea how this works)?

Rachael Johnson: "Boris did his best".

Only because his best has always been fucking awful.

Let's consider Boris Johnson, a moral man and a great politician: I'd love to talk about all three of them, but I only have space for Boris.
