Y'all, I am VERY excited to introduce you to one of my new favorite Tolkien artists: Kay Woollard (1924-2008).

Woollard first read LotR in '79 when she was 55. From then until her death, she was heavily involved in Tolkien fan culture, contributing illustrations to Tolkien Society publications.

I rewatched Trading Places and I won't comment on how well it's aged, only on what parts are believable.

Wealthy guys destroying a man on a whim for their amusement (and 1USD)? Believable.

There are maybe half a dozen people who follow me here and live in Busan. They're going to see me wandering the streets some day and think, "Hey, there's Justin being tormented by his personal demons. Maybe I shouldn't say hi."

A friend's getting back into TTRPGs after a multi-decade long hiatus. He's impressed by how gaming and the culture around it has grown, but can also see that there must have been 100s of flame wars over the years he didn't witness that shaped the current scene.
