TRANS RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS
1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Transgender care saves lives.
Study In The Journal Of Pediatrics Finds Trans Youth Care Lowers Suicidality, Few Detransition
The groundbreaking study found that suicidality dropped for transgender youth receiving hormone therapy by nearly 70%, with only 7 patients of 432 discontinuing treatment.

I quit the former Twitter two years ago this week, and I am here to tell you that my online life got a lot better for having left it. In two years I've not been tempted to go back, and I haven't felt any penalty in either career or community for not being there. It's nice to be here and not there.

Of course I would say this, but we need to talk about the moral & ideological case for play & leisure more than ever. So much political discourse - especially from the super-rich - assumes we ought to construct society around forcing citizens to spend most of their one, unrepeatable life working.

there's a reasonably strong correlation between being right wing and having an undeveloped or simplistic idea of style, which is why these guys often dress like a character in a movie except without the wardrobe experts to make it work
It’s just coincidental that everyone he approves of politically dresses well and everyone he disapproves of politically dresses badly
Finally got around to blocking the menswear guy. He was great when he was actually talking about clothes and their construction and how they work on bodies. Rather like that Larry the Cat account - they get big and start doing tedious pontificating.

This is a good start. I absolutely loathe the current culture/climate of Kickstarter. The ‘Funded in 45 seconds!’ type stickers companies plaster over their ads are exactly the kind of gamified FOMO that I absolutely detest.
In case you missed it, I just launched a pre-order campaign for my upcoming 100+ room, 5 level dungeon The Castle Automatic.

Instead of doing a "traditional" Kickstarter, I opted for a pre-order campaign through Exalted Funeral instead. We're calling it the Early Worm campaign.

Why?
Why the Castle Automatic is doing a preorder campaign instead of a Kickstarter

I’m thinking of changing careers away from art because of the AI thing but also …
all the other options I have are basically also suffering the same problem so … if we don’t get UBI in the next like year it’s over for me I think

This is very good. Clear, calm, factual, and devastating for proponents of bans on puberty blockers for trans youth.

Puberty blockers: why politicians overriding doctors sets a dangerous precedent
The government’s ban on puberty blockers undermines clinical expertise and targets trans youth with a policy that lacks evidence, consistency and fairness.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... I need to get out of this fucking country, holy shit. This is beyond gross.
Trans people could be barred from services based on appearance
The new code of practice on access to single-sex services cannot gain legal force until it gets sign-off from ministers.

Hello #OSR and #TTRPG friends - I’m going to be making a long train journey tonight (11 hours or thereabouts) and I want to try some solo dungeon fantasy gaming to pass the time - I’ll just have my phone and a laptop and not very much space! Any recommendations?

OSR guys really be like "Games are at their best when they confront the human condition, when they explore the depth of human emotions and pit the rules against the players' desires. Anyway, here's another defense of rolling d6 for initiative."

Ubisoft and Treyarch resorting to regurgitative AI in their big $70 “AAA” games is simply pathetic.

The lack of integrity, the lack of dignity, the lack of pride. Sure, it’s all expected, but nonetheless miserably *pathetic* to witness.

Have some fucking self respect for once.

Carved in Stone is officially out!

In this comprehensive setting guide you'll be able to see, touch, taste, hear and smell your way through everything that modern-day scholars currently know of the enigmatic culture of the Picts, from the perspective of someone living in the late 7th Century.
