The hair is thinning. My eyes are struggling. My hip hurts everyday. But today is my 50th birthday and I’m in a generally good place, all things considered, and that’s a gift. ☺️

I gave myself a sewing challenge to try a dress pattern, and chose the Wrap Dress from a Great British Sewing Bee book. And she’s finished!

There were tears, but I learned a lot. Invisible zip! Gathered sleeves! Facings! Understitching! Definitely worth it.

Glad to be back at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. Seems like we’ve been going nearly 25 years. Nice to see the same people year over year, spend time with friends, and have the most incredible time people watching. W/ @theotterknitter.bsky.social
