None of this will just go away on its own, it won't just fade away with a few elections the American Right will continue to radicalize and metastasize into more and more of the Nazi model.
Their immigration policy was never about crime, it was always about their view of the appropriate ethnic composition of the nation.

Over and over again the president, the administration, the GOP, many of federal agencies and the entire conservative culture that peoples all of the above have shown that they are objectively pro-murder and excited by the prospect of murder. Everything on the Right is infected now.
This whole thing is racist, but take particular note of the threat of denaturalization. That's stripping people of their citizenship, and that's the road to mass murder and atrocity.
