Some thing of note around people being arrested by the feds in Portland - there is no possibility of bail if someone has federal charges. They will be detained until they have a hearing in Federal Court. Most likely hearings will be held on Monday. 1/2

Because ICE and city cops are just two of many competing police gangs. They each have their territory where they get to tear gas regular people with impunity. Sometimes they clash with each other if it serves their interests but most of the time they let each other run their territories.

The ICE building in Portland is immediately next door to an elementary school and they've been gassing protesters on and off in that neighborhood since 2017. There are often spent canisters in their playground. If there's a tipping point this isn't it.
