I wrote about 'SMiLE' and 'The Smile Sessions' for @popmatters.com in 2011. Brian Wilson forever.

I read and enjoyed that review, especially the context(s) you placed the album in.

A perfect film. There aren't many.
I love the bit in Mr Hulot’s Holiday where the lunch bell goes and the whole beach empties.

Just a friendly reminder as we go into the holidays:

Folks don't have to explain to you why they don't drink.

If you offer them a drink and they decline, don't ask them why. It's not your business.

Just offer them something without alcohol to drink instead. And move on.

I'm not that guy's age, but for me, Beach Boys and Rolling Stones fandom were the natural alternatives to liking the Beatles, whom I never connected with despite enjoying the 90s rock that benefited from their influence.

It’s blowing my mind that schools, universities, public services would run headlong into this. We spent 15 years documenting black boxes. This is a black box in a black hole!
I don't understand how anyone can watch how blatantly Grok is manipulated to answer the way ownership desires it to and then act like the other LLM chatbots couldn't possibly be similarly but less obviously compromised to produce responses in whatever way corporate interests and priorities dictate.

2003 Blur, touring with 'Think Tank,' which I think is their best album.

The Netherwalker album is out of this world. I won't pretend to know how they put it all together, and I'm very eager to see how it translates live. Vocalist is the real deal.

Did ’Life of Pi’ present this problem? Solve it? That’s an interesting case.

Though this film is not the same type as the ones you are referencing, I thought 'Afterschool' (2008) dealt with the idea of recorded evidence and its futility in a more interesting way than big-budget dramas do.

"Stop writing as if a human will read it" is the death knell of human connections of every kind.
Saw a post today that advised writers to stop writing as if a human will read it and start writing for an LLM that will be summarising.

As someone who really enjoyed trying to develop a peculiar but readable authorial voice, I find this incredibly depressing.
