Went to Waffle House with a friend today. My check was $18 so I gave her $40 and asked for $4 back. She got confused and asked about it. I said, “An $18 tip on an $18 bill; it’s 100%.” She was shocked and REALLY thanked me. I said, “It’s Christmas and you earned it.” Best gift I’ll give this year.

Last Friday, October 31st, 2025 (yes, on Halloween) I retired after 28 years with the USG (over half of my life). I had a great run and am so very thankful for all the opportunities I’ve had to serve my country and see the world. Now, on to the next chapter.
