In #GENETICS, @tiboleroyinen.bsky.social et al. present the largest #GWAS catalog for roses to date and show how genetic makeup changed from a historical European to a near-Asian genetic background within a few generations during rose breeding in Europe. buff.ly/tw4vVUl

The good thing about not having a government in France right now is that we avoid all the awkward moments in which French ministers praise the so-called "French excellence" after a Nobel Prize goes to a French scientist who is working abroad since several decades.

A new step in Emmanuel Macron’s policy of flying ever more planes and increasing France’s carbon emissions. The responsibility of our political class in the lack of a change of course regarding the current climate and biodiversity crisis is immense.

We had World War I, then World War II. After that, we had the Cold War. Now, with all the provocations, the violations of European territory, the Russian agression and war in Ukraine, and so on, we have to accept that we have entered the Cold War II.

Not sure what saddens me more, seeing Trump as anti-science or as anti-women, in favor of their pain.

"no robust evidence or convincing studies to suggest there is any causal relationship. Conclusions drawn to the contrary are unsupported by the most robust methods"

Trump links autism and Tylenol: is there any truth to it?
The US president repeatedly advised people, “Don't take Tylenol,” but scientists say that strong evidence between the medication and autism is lacking.
