Below there are threads on my worldbuilding

They have the most basic and important information about my cosmologies but without the lore of specific words

I hope you’ll like them

(But please don’t click the like under all of the posts)
At this point, without a scientific exception, I'll not believe that cyanide smells like almonds

Like, everything that contains cyanide and smells like almonds also contains benzaldehyde. What a fucking coincidence?
I have spent several hours looking for the answers and I'm constantly circling back to the question "how do we know that it's the smell of cyanide and not benzaldehyde?"
Is the whole world trying to gaslight me to believe that cyanide smells like almonds?

I once read somewhere that it’s a myth that came from the fact that bitter almonds contain cyanide, but the actual scent comes from two other compounds that are present in almonds, but I can't find the proof now
And and to make it worse, they both can be signs of amygdalin breaking down. Amigdalin itself also smells like almonds and is the source of cyanide in almonds and other seeds infamous for containing it. I made a full circle πŸ₯΄πŸ₯΄πŸ₯΄

But thank you
For a moment I hoped that it's the answer that I was looking for, but apparently millipedes that produce cyanide also produce benzaldehyde which too smells like almonds

Have you ever actually smelled them?

Because I always thought that it's just a myth that cyanide smells like almost, but everyone is so sure of it, and I can't find a definitive answer, and I'm slowly losing my mind because of it

Silksong spoilers without context

Mount Fey: [insert the clip from El Eternauta of a guy walking out into the snow and dying after few steps]

Sorry, I don’t have that clip :(

I found two compounds that smell like almonds and are present in them, benzaldehyde and amygdalin, the latter of which brakes down into cyanide and it’s other compounds

Is this the answer??? Is this why everyone believes that cyanide smells like almonds???????

😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Thorn Garden is similar to upper parts of Shellwood

Undergrowth Jungle is like combination of Moss Grotto and Worm Ways

River Delta and Waterfall Valley have similarities with Bilewater, lower Shellwood and Verdania (before it was lost)

And Lake Bed has almost the same lore as Sands of Karak

I once really wanted to design a fake Hollow Knight region, but a lot of my ideas for it are similar to places that are in Silksong, even though I came up with it independently and before Silksong's release πŸ™ƒ

I came back to Hollow Knight just to see how I would do against Mantis Lords after my Silksong experience and (unrelated to the Lords) now I’m sure that both games have completely different vibes

I’ve seen a tumblr post about β€œa princess who got imprisoned in an abandoned wizard tower, spent years learning magic, became the most powerful magic user in the world and wreaked bloody vengeance on whoever imprisoned her” and that’s basically Star Sorceress’s (my OC's) story lmao

To be clear, this is not a critique. Just an observation
Meanwhile, compared to this, Silksong feels monumental and epic. This vibe difference made me feel like this was not a sequel to Hollow Knight at first, but a game in a completely different world

(But maybe this is just the difference between how Hornet and a void-fueled god see the world lol)
First Hollow Knight has some kind of unique vibe that my brain recognizes as the β€œHollow Knight vibe”. It’s hard to describe, but it’s kinda serene and something that I can only describe as β€œsmall”. It’s really hard to verbalize this vibe because I literally don’t know the word for it

Cut together a quick timelapse of the snuffed character art I did last night.

It looks manic because I have compulsions to do too much in the same file and move whatever I am working on all over the canvas like a maniac.
