Here's another incarnation. These were partially about giving you something that was so great on the surface but actually unusable in its full scope. This version was 8' wide so you couldn't reach the center of the table. Players would have to play side by side rather than across from each other.
I built a series of vastly oversized wargame tables in art spaces back when I was making big dumb sculptures and people trusted me in galleries. Didn't make any buildings though.
