“They are not here to cause safety in this city,” Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said in a press conference following the shooting. “What they are doing is causing chaos and distrust,” he continued, “and in this case, quite literally killing people.”

Maybe it's just my tinnitus but if I listen closely I feel like I can hear the support beams of society creaking and popping. Something's got to give.

The whole point is not just the state disappearing whoever they want, it's you being in the habit of accepting the state choosing whom to disappear, without question. It's submission to the state. Same as with Gitmo after 9/11. The state's judgment must not be questioned.
This should INFURIATE you

They told the richest man in the world to cut whatever he thought was fraudulent and he quickly targeted the consumer financial protection bureau. Not a single Republican in Congress sees a problem with this?

This latest executive order is such a clear step towards authoritarian rule. Even with how far we've moved the goalposts past what would've been shocking 10 years ago, this is still pretty hard to believe.

This is the new Executive Order that eliminates the very concept of independent regulatory agencies.

It gives the President direct control over the decisions of every Congressionally-created regulatory body across the U.S. government. Including FEC.

Read it all.

Worth noting how this number triples from one billion to three billion during the Biden administration.
One place our government could save a lot of money is the billions given to Elon Musk's companies every year.

Latest political party affiliation Gallup poll had record low affiliation for Democrats, increasing affiliation for right leaning independence. Does that remain the case? Genuinely curious how many Americans feel that our government does not represent their interests at all.
