Important: Georgia Fort is President of the Center for Broadcast Journalism and was “one of two journalists in the courtroom when Derek Chauvin was sentenced.”

Her arrest, and the others, are a targeted assault on journalism by a white supremacist hate group that has infiltrated the US government.
Georgia Fort's is chilling, and it's being overshadowed by the equally chilling arrest of Don Lemon.

A GoFundMe is being set up for Fort. In the meantime, you can support her work directly – without paying massive fundraising platform fees – through her website:

As more reporting emerges about the Dilley uprising led by children, I think reporters must clarify what family detention is. These are jails where children and their parents are detained together, and there is a long history of protests at these facilities because of horrendous conditions inside.

The identities of DHS’s victims matter, writes Ro White in an op-ed. Federal officials will continue painting the murdered, the detained & the hunted as “illegal criminals,” “domestic terrorists,” & “fucking bitches.” But here’s what remains true: Decades of immigrant torture & deaths led us here.

We must acknowledge how the identities of Silverio Villegas-González, Renee Good, and Alex Pretti shape media coverage, public outrage, and action

Please read Sophie’s investigation about the right wing “civic centers” sprouting up at universities nationwide!
For about a year, I've been digging into the growing number of right-wing funded civic centers teaching "informed patriotism" and "Western civilization" at public universities. Today, @prismreports.org published my investigation. Big thanks to my editor @tinavasquez.bsky.social & the Prism team.
What's behind the right-wing plot to set up taxpayer-funded ‘intellectual freedom centers’ at public universities?

UNC-Chapel Hill’s School of Civic Life & Leadership & the University of Florida’s Hamilton School are part of the effort to push conservative ideology, @shayssen.bsky.social reports.

I just want to issue the gentle reminder that there are dozens of other bloodthirsty, desperate, bootlicking Noem-and Bovino-like-ghouls clambering to take their places. (But I also totally understand wanting to savor the moment.)

I interviewed over half a dozen ICE and Border Patrol agents who describe an agency that sounds like Reno 911!

“I thought federal agents were supposed to be clean cut but some of them pass around a flask as we are watching a suspect,” one told me:
