De verkiezing van Dodik’s stroman houdt de Bosniërs in de greep van corruptie, nepotisme en etnische verdeeldheid door hun politieke leiders. Hoog tijd dat de EU de kant van burgers kiest en hervormingen eist die het land en de democratie eindelijk verder helpen.

Orbán buys one of the best-read newspapers of the country. This is a major deterioration in a media environment that is already heavily politically controlled, as highlighted in my recently adopted report. This cannot go on - there are no fair elections without free information!

Bezuinigen op mensen die al in een kwetsbare positie zitten, is niet alleen erg voor hen. Het is ook schadelijk voor onze samenleving.
