makes sense that a politician who has been flirting with anti-LGBTQ+ positions all year would embrace Regan (who infamously ignored the AIDS crisis during the 1980s)
The presidency once served as a reminder of our common humanity. Ronald Reagan described its purpose as building "a nation composed of good and decent people."

ah yes, all workers should have the right to hurl racial slurs at black customers
“Those of us on the left should be fighting to improve protections for workers of all races, and thereby for the betterment of people’s material conditions regardless of their views,” Arash Azizi argues:
Why the Cinnabon Story Doesn’t Make Me Happy
The left should be promoting working-class solidarity, not delighting in seeing workers summarily dismissed.

Salaita’s latest on thrusting “purist” to shut any dissent or criticism coming from the left is just [chef’s kiss].

Some 600 immigrant kids have been sent to federal custody by ICE this year.

A 17-year-old was detained at a traffic stop because officers couldn’t make contact with his dad, who is deaf.

Another kid ended up in a shelter after making a wrong turn.

A very incomplete list of things we wouldn't have done if we waited for the normies to care:

- abolish slavery
- child labor laws
- votes for women
- social security
- fdic
- welfare
- medicare
- medicaid
- desegregation
- women's sports
"normies do not care about this thing and so it is no use raising a stink" is imho just an excuse for not doing politics, which is the job of making normies care about something
