I've been using @kagi.com for over a year now in Luxembourg (very small country). Results are precise, relevant and localized.
It sucks to have to pay for a good search engine, but it's a joy every time you use it!

Le trumpisme ne conteste pas des faits mais l’autorité de dire le vrai. Sa vérité n’est pas scientifique mais biblique (Gen 3:16). Corriger, c’est dépolitiser. Nommer le projet théocratique est vital.

🔥 Le fact-checking ne suffit pas face au christofascisme

Lorsqu’un acteur politique comme Donald Trump affirme que la prise de paracétamol pendant la grossesse provoquerait l’autisme, le réflexe médiatique est de recourir au fact-checking : convoquer la littérature scientifique, rappeler les résultats de la recherche, distinguer le vrai du faux.

Mais cette démarche, aussi nécessaire soit-elle, demeure largement dépolitisante. Elle suppose que le conflit porte sur des faits, alors qu’il porte sur l’autorité de dire le vrai.

Le régime trumpiste ne reconnaît pas la science comme source de vérité. Depuis plusieurs années, et plus encore après la mort de Charlie Kirk, il se structure autour d’une matrice christofasciste : l’affirmation que la seule vérité normative est d’origine biblique.

Ainsi, Genèse 3:16 devient un texte politique, mobilisé comme fondement d’un ordre social hiérarchique et patriarcal qui justifie la violence à l'égard des femmes :

« J'augmenterai la souffrance de tes grossesses, tu enfanteras avec douleur, et tes désirs se porteront vers ton mari, mais lui dominera sur toi. »

Ici, la « vérité » n’est pas celle de la recherche empirique, mais celle d’une révélation. Et face à cela, le fact-checking échoue : corriger une fausse corrélation scientifique ne répond pas à un projet qui vise à substituer à la rationalité scientifique une théologie autoritaire.

👉 En ce sens, le fact-checking dépolitise, car il déplace le conflit du terrain du pouvoir et de l’idéologie vers celui de l’information. Or ce que nous affrontons n’est pas une désinformation accidentelle, mais un projet politique théocratique.

La question n’est donc pas seulement : « Trump dit-il vrai ? »
Elle est : qui détient l’autorité de dire le vrai ?

Reconnaître et nommer ce projet christofasciste est une condition préalable pour que le travail journalistique, académique et citoyen puisse réellement résister à l’effacement de la démocratie.
