The Brazilian President says he’s too busy to talk to Trump about a 50% tariff.

World laughed at this the first time; now more likely to roll eyes, get back to work.

More extreme heat in southern Arizona. There are disoriented, possibly dying birds in my yard. These are species that normally summer here.

TV broadcasters say daily that today isn’t the hottest on record. I know that, I’m from here, and this is not the same.

Singer-songwriter, guy named Jesse Wells, hell of a talent.

Trump likes hurting vulnerable groups if the rest of us aren’t doing what he wants. He doesn’t tolerate quiet withdrawal.
Rep Eric Swalwell walked out in *shock*—and who could blame him?

Every single GOP member on the House Judiciary Committee just voted to let Trump “deport” American citizens.

This is illegal, authoritarian, and unforgivable 🤬

Time to call, write, & protest before the full House votes.

“Applied statistics” is a better term. I’d probably have called it ceremonial magic that runs on boredom and clichés.
I really like how Ted Chiang has become the nation's resident Explainer Of That Whole AI Thing. He's the right person for the job: Extremely smart, works in tech, is not impressed by jargon and despite having the brain that created the truly alien aliens of Arrival, seems to be comfortably pro-human

Trump’s lawyer Evan Corcoran was so afraid he would get in legal trouble himself that he made lengthy notes and audio recollections of all their interactions.

Because Trump tried to use Corcoran to obstruct justice, those notes and recordings are now in Jack Smith’s hands.

Welp.
