Another publisher dies, another book dies with it (for now). Long ago, I wrote a book featuring a character named Cooke. It killed three publishers (one of which actually published it) (four, if you count 10th Rule Books). Is Cooke a character in the new DOA book?

While it had some genuine 'Parker' moments, no hardcore fan of Richard Stark is going to be satisfied with Play Dirty. Like Walbergs turn as Spenser, he's often Parker in name only. Still, it's a fun heist flick. Anyone upset it wasn't a faithful adaptation has a tenuous connection to reality.
