i’ve never played it before but i just imagined a paper connect 4 board and the tokens are old pins i’ve made with the button maker i got nearly a decade ago and you have to pitch your theme that you’ve connected them with to the other player when you win (and also when you lose)

The River Has Roots is a book that is such a pleasure to read aloud— you are the mouth this river, brimming with a magic called grammar, tumbles out of. Can feel the wholeness of its poetry. A river of a book, with a 400 year old bed and changing and changing water, taking you someplace new. Aloud!!
