FE2 was a great workhorse camera. I had one and sold it. Always regretted it

It’s only been a day since Toby and I started our first podcast and the feedback we have had in various forms has been so positive. However Tim’s here is perhaps my favourite

Listening to this discussion touch on film negatives and authenticity…it hit me that Westerns blots have always been ground zero for fake images, and AI really democratizes access to that.

I wonder whether a film cassette could return as the gold standard when auditability&integrity are paramount.

There’s a new photography podcast! It’s a bit chaotic 😂. open.spotify.com/show/5vPZToh...

Thank you very much for the feedback. As an analogue photographer predominantly I do agree with your PoV and do know from talking to others that auction houses often insist on film photographs as evidence due to their reliability in the age of digital design.

Revisiting some negatives from an old project

I’m thinking ahead to going to see the table tennis championships in Wembley next month. I don’t normally use long lenses and wondering if I go Minolta and zoom telephoto, or pen ft. I’m leaning towards the pen with or without the 3x converter.

This months darkroom livestream is on Thursday. It’s kind of snuck up on me! As work has been so busy these last few weeks I’m wondering what to print, maybe it’s time to revisit an old project 🤔🎞️

See you Thursday 8.30pm on YouTube: www.youtube.com/live/QgAyWoF...

Can’t wait to see results from this

I can’t remember the last time I printed a digital photo—let alone hung one. Today I framed a darkroom print from last night and added it to the wall alongside: Janine Weidel, Lewis Bush, Gene Smith, Brendan Barry, Simon Roberts + more. This is how photography should be seen.

Ouch. You are clearly much more patient than me then 😁

No, the worst part for me is the healing brush and looking for that rogue bit of dust that’s always on the scanner.

Really productive printing session this evening. This was the first one I have live-streamed to YouTube and although I lost connection near the end, it worked well and was good to have some new faces tune in for brief windows of time and ask questions.

Bring on the next one

Yes we know it’s Adox, but there is something very cool about putting Leica film in a 1950s Leica. And that packaging is lovely too!
