Husband, dad to two small humans, public affairs at Marino PR, Fairfield CT Plan & Zoning Commission. 🖤s heavy metal and housing policy.
Eliminating parking minimums is not banning parking. Capping minimum lot size requirements at 5,000 square feet is not banning lots under 5,000 square feet.

Dishonest status quo advocates ragebaiting people by falsely calling everything a ban is my newest pet peeve.

There was something about the way Pam Bondi was talking in that hearing that sounded so familiar but I couldn't put my finger on it and then someone mentioned Parker Posey and that's it. She sounded like an unhinged version of Parker Posey's lorazepam-loving White Lotus character.

That was such a great halftime show. Loved the set designs.

I don't know any Bad Bunny songs, but as someone who listens primarily to heavy metal with indecipherable lyrics, I strongly support having a halftime show featuring music a large percentage of the audience doesn't understand.

Republican Tony Hwang blamed his defeat in Tuesday’s special election for Fairfield First Selectperson on "national anger and party labels," and this kind of whining is something I've been thinking about a lot. So-called moderate Republicans think we should treat them like Trump doesn't exist...

Democrats want ICE abolished, Chuck. Stop pretending you don't know that.
Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE:

End the roving patrols and racial profiling.

Take accountability and abide by the same rules as local police.

Masks need to come off, body cameras need to stay on—no secret police in the United States of America.

What is most notable about this election in Fairfield, CT is it was a referendum on being open or closed to new housing

The Democratic ticket mounted a masterful multi-week public campaign incl op-eds framing being open and having more housing was actually the way to take back control. It worked

Proud of Fairfield for electing Christine Vitale as First Selectperson today. And for 42% turnout in a municipal special election!

Looks like I'm going to have to make yet another angry call to Jim Himes' office tomorrow. This is becoming routine, which is maddening. In going to have to send his constituent relations person a fruit basket at this point.
Connecticut's Courtney, DeLauro and Himes were among just 21 House Dems to vote yes. CT's Larson and Hayes voted no along with the vast majority of House Dems.

We live in a police state.
A retiree wrote this email to a DHS attorney. Within five hours, DHS demanded Google turn over records for his account.

A Kafkaesque form of domestic surveillance, intimidating Americans for lawful speech.

A reminder that the Kennedy Center is the literal and legal and congressional designated presidential memorial to JFK. This would be like Trump tearing down the Lincoln Memorial to build something “better.”
He’s going to tear it down

I need the GRAMMYs to please, for the love of Satan, hire a metal advisor so you stop doing dumb things like giving the award for Best Metal Performance to Turnstile (who are great but are very much not metal) or nominating Ministry six times (Ministry is cool, but six times???).

Trump wants to appear eager to minimize out-of-control clashes between government militias and protesters. But he doesn’t want to stop the things causing those clashes in the first place.
