Two pairs of beavers were released into the wild at Little Sea, Studland, in March 2025, under licence from the government. It was the first licence of its kind to be issued in England – all the previous ones have been for beavers in enclosures.

There's good reason why the oil and gas industry lobbies so hard for carbon capture - because it's the one 'climate solution' that wouldn't necessarily require shutting down the oil and gas industry

But it doesn't work. They need to be shut down
