So share some of my paintings??

I miss my chicken... my Ayam Cemani was only $5 when I got her at a chicken swap. I never seen a farmer rush quicker at a swap then after the lady sold me her. He got a rooster with all his ladies. Photo 4 years old.

This mama is convinced her babies should darn well be big enough to fly into the nesting box, three feet off the ground. They aren't able to get up there, yet, and so there try much chickie drama every day about 4, when mama is up too high, and it's really cold! They get to the top of the feeder, then jump and flap madly. Some of them run to the feeder first. They try so hard!
Eventually, they all give up and huddle in the corner, miserable. I have to wait for that to get them all in one fell swoop, and put them in the basket with mama. There is instant silence as they all scoot under her.
One fell out, and I heard some squawking again, so I went in to check, and this is what greeted me. Her outrage at my intrusion to get her own darn chickie back! The nerve.
I just love the little one's face at the bottom, though. The longer I stood there, the more heads popped out to see what the heck was up, but all the rest came out blurry.
