Photo taken in Justus-Tiawah in eastern Oklahoma The last ten years of this wizened old character were a struggle, and sometime later it lost all its limbs, in various windstorms or from getting waterlogged. The remains of the tree trunk have since been downed (the tree no longer exists). The age, 110 years, was determined by counting tree rings of the stump, after it had been felled, a decade after this photo was taken. On the right: a reproduction of a lesser-known painting by Paul Cézanne, titled "The Big Trees" (1902-04), de-saturated Cézanne painted those two large trees of indeterminate species, for his post-impressionistic image, while in the forest around the Bibémus quarry (Carrières de Bibémus) and the Château Noir, in his native Aix-en-Provence. They too are unlikely to have survived to this point, as he painted them over 120 years ago.

Given a smartphone battery holds 10-15 Wh, a 3 Wh search is equivalent to draining a phone by about 20-30%.
