1/ Yesterday the Am Acad of Nursing announced disbanding its Health Equity & Ethics expert panels, so those themes can be threaded throughout the org

Here’s what I know about what happens when you dismantle a line item to make it a ‘cross-cutting theme’:

No one is responsible for it & it gets lost

Hospitals shutting down care in preemptive compliance with the Trump administration is cowardice.

All this will do is move care to individual providers where trans youth will not have access to large interdisciplinary teams.

It won’t stop care, but it will hurt patients.

The countries largest gender clinic with 3000 patients is complying in advance and shutting down. They treat up to age 25 so trans adults will lose access as well.
