Went and saw the new PTA and it was very good! Then finally watched Punch-Drunk Love which I’ve put off for a while because I’m just not very interested in dramatic Sandler, and it turned out to be probably my second favorite PTA movie after There Will Be Blood? Kinda floored at how good it was

Like it’s hard to care because the story is so frivolous, characters constantly betray each other and then are back on the same side a couple story missions later, fake deaths are constant too and it’s like…you have this serious military sci-fi story but it feels like there are no stakes whatsoever

Mecharashi is kinda the first gacha I’ve put real time in(not counting galaxy of heroes because it barely even has like, banner pulls) and I kinda wish the story and characters had any real sauce to them…I see people who enjoy that aspect of like arknights or hoyoverse stuff and I want that for me…
