I have been a fan of Robin's work (stand-up, books, poetry and radio) for years - and still am - but have always been troubled by his extremist views.
He espouses dangerous radical ideas like "hate speech is bad" and "be kind to people - even if they're different from you".

Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

In S17 of #Taskmaster, Nick Mohammed dressed as a vampire for his tasks. The production scrubbed all his reflections when he's dressed like this, but the only way I knew is because someone told me about it. It's subtle and very cool.

Current favourite thing: on House of Games this week, Richard’s reading the questions off a card instead of showing them on a screen so the other contestants don’t have an advantage over Josh. Plus we’ve got musical Answer Smash again. Everyone’s still having a lovely time.

8 years since I spent 3 hours queuing up to get a disappointing autobiography signed 😄
(I do actually have a photo of me & Bruce somewhere, but no idea what I’ve done with it)
Never seen such a massive queue for a signing before & it was still humongous when I was done.
Book’s still crap tho 🤣

Right, Girlbands Forever was a fascinating watch, but how do you have a history of British girl bands & not even mention Girls Aloud? I know they didn’t interview any of the Spice Girls, but they did at least have them as part of the story. Baffling.

After a terrible day at work yesterday, I went to watch one of my favourite bands, High on Fire, play live. I rarely go up front at gigs these days but I stood in front of Matt Pike’s stack all night. Got home and listened to incredible new music from Transgressive.

I sell a lot of old copies of Empire on eBay, but hadn’t had any interest in ages, which was unusual.
Turns out when eBay switched over to their ‘Simple Delivery’, they classed them all as parcels rather than large letters, so the postage was way more than it should have been.

Just spent the entire day going through our filing cabinet & binning everything we don’t need. Have also scanned loads of bits for reference, rather than keeping hard copies. Pared it down to the essentials for tax purposes. So satisfying.
(Tho I think our recycle bin might be a bit too heavy now)

-Add 100g dried red lentils
-Add a tin of chopped toms
-Add 500ml stock (any will do)
-Simmer for 15-20 mins
You can use this as a basis for spag bol, chilli, shepherd’s pie, whatever. Just add different herbs/spices/beans of your choice.
