They've even got they mates in SEGM running the thing so it doesn't come up with the 'wrong' results. What more do they want.

Sadly there's no contradiction between Labour both claiming mental illness is overdiagnosed and declaring all their opponents as mentally ill.

They believe there's lots of mentall illness about but that it is a personal failing and those afflicted should suffer, not be helped.

idk who needs to hear this but Ariana Grande is straight up body checking / doing other proana memes on her socials + talking about how she & her friends send each other audio of themselves on the treadmill

and criticizing that behavior is not "policing women's bodies" it's criticizing proana

Half of Labour’s policies are just “work or die“ and the other half are “just die“ cause you don’t deserve to be part of our society

I see the PM is being very rattled and very untruthful about the Greens again in the papers.

He couldn’t say this stuff in Parliament because he would be lying to the House - both about what our popular, evidence-based policies are, and about him believing this guff.

At the heart of all these deeply weird rants about ADHD and autism is that of course they are not new. Back in the day there was a weird blend of pretty good (tolerance & quiet accommodation) and very bad (institutions & worse) responses to ND people.
I see Hadley Freeman is back on her horse about ADHD/autism. Only this time she is obviously far more aware of the reality than...checks notes, the actual expert. Does she ever get bored of just churning out the same old ignorant attacks on different groups?

While Freeman is often more than happy to ignore evidence in favour of her own opinions, whether that be her regular transphobic rants or oft written columns minimising and dismissing ADHD, autism and mental health issues, the evidence for under diagnosis is pretty strong.

An independent taskforce *just* did a huge review of ADHD in England, and the conclusion was that it's "under-recognised, under-diagnosed and under-treated."

Got it Keir.

Racist thugs who want to burn down hotels and transphobic activists who want to stop trans girls attending Guides have 'legitimate concerns'.

Whereas people who are worried about the economy & climate are 'nuts'.

Good to know.
I’ve interviewed Keir Starmer for @theobserveruk.bsky.social. He is defiant about his leadership and says he’ll prove his critics wrong. He says Angela Rayner will be back in Cabinet, the Greens are “nuts” and young people have been “collateral damage” of past policy observer.co.uk/news/nationa...

Keir - bud - in your short tenure, stated that violent racists had legitimate concerns, taken us to the right of *Donald Trump* on LGBTQ issues, gotten Labour banned from Pride and limited migration, causing economic devastation.

You are in no position to call the Greens nuts.

Actually quite pissed off about that headline - especially as you don't actually get any help for mental health issues in this country on the NHS. 6wks of dogshit CBT is not going to cut it for most people. And lol have you seen the waiting lists for ADHD assessments??

Good to know that as an architect with a masters degree working in a practice that specialises social housing I’m considered a ‘taker’ because I don’t earn above £50k… but It’s ok, we don’t have a housing crisis or anything. Why do I bother paying so much £££ in visa fees to be treated like this.

You might think that the "Labour" Party would consider labour itself to be a contribution to society, alas no, only "having lots of money" is a real contribution.

Perhaps they need to change their name to the Capital Party?

Kishwer Falkner, the former EHRC chair, is on Sky saying the Labour government is anti-women, citing not just trans issues but also grooming gangs and what she calls pandering to Islam and racial sensitivities. She's not exactly dispelling the idea she was a political actor when she led the EHRC.
