Let’s be clear about who is responsible for trans girls being excluded from the Guides.

Keir Starmer
100%

He could have overturned the injustice of the flawed Supreme Court any time, but CHOSE not to. So he is responsible for these girls being harmed. There’s a word for adults who harm children.

For me it seems to boil down to 'If I can't be a misogynist, if I can't perpetrate sexual violence and control then I'm taking my ball and going home.' There is no male loneliness epidemic, only a male sulking epidemic. Cool guys who treat people with respect are out there getting laid.

It is essential to remember that Sensible centrists got everything they wanted in the UK.

The left smashed, their Competent Sensible politicians won by a landslide last year and have a huge majority and the policies they dreamed of implemented.

And the result is endless horror.

I see Naomi Cunningham’s latest case has been dismissed on all grounds (Kelly v Leonardo tribunal). Judge says claimant was making ideological claims and faced no real detriment. Transphobes fail again assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/69303e...

The Tribunal held that propriety is a social construct and standards of decency change over time.

It also implicitly highlighted that the claimant was mistaken in believing the Supreme Court’s judgment granted her & her employer carte blanche to engage in discrimination. 🤭

It is so sad to see new exclusionary policies from Girlguiding, where trans girls had been so included before.

The Woodcraft Folk is a brilliant, inclusive, non-segregated alternative for young people seeking fun, adventure and community!

When will those Labour MPs who don't support the exclusion of trans people from society get together and tell the Cabinet 'Not In Our Name'?

Because, with respect, it is well past time for them to do som

Telling a targeted, hyperscrutinized, vilified population that you have no choice but to comply with mulching us is not a praiseworthy stance!!!!

Those "sadly" choosing trans exclusion should just admit that they chose to exclude trans girls and women because it would be a relief. No more legal threats, no more being inconvenienced.

You just wanted the "problem" to disappear. Because there are no consequences for you other than sad feelings.

Sonia Sodha: "The BBC doing everything I want and insulting children is neutral and balanced."
People need to understand that the neoreactionary movement is one thing with different faces it presents to the public, as demonstrated in the recent BBC shenanigans: the gender crackpots, domestic fascists and genocide enthusiasts are all on the same page with the international fascists.

the fact that labour could fix this legal problem but are choosing not to bcos they've decided the religious right are a safer bet is shameful, cowardly, and disgusting.

don't ever forget. don't ever forgive.

@bphillipsonmp.bsky.social could fix this problem very easily.

labour are at fault.

It's little consolation, I know, but the Girl Guides thing is terrible optics for the GC movement. It just looks cruel and spiteful, and like rich people with an agenda bullying a well-liked organisation. Again, little succor I know.

if you genuinely want to argue that the Equality Act, when introduced, intended to make unlawful an approach to trans inclusion that has existed *since the 1970s*, I absolutely cannot take you seriously

I wonder... do Labour MPs go home to their spouses and say,

"Hey honey. Thanks to the party I represent, trans kids can't join the Girl Guides anymore!

Aren't you proud of me?"

There's going to be a lot of people telling trans people in the UK to "calm down" and their expressions of rage "are not helpful" to the organizations caving to fascism.

Fuck em. This is not about being helpful. This is about being recognized as equal human beings by society.

Gender criticals: "Listen to women! Unless you're Girlguides or the Women's Institute or you disagree with the male judge who wrote this decision or if you don't 'look like a woman' or if you're a trans man because then you're definitely a man."

Everyone will suffer from this madness. Everyone.

I'm not attacking those organisations either. I know they're trying to thread a needle here. And I know who the actual villains are. I'm just saying...put your money where your mouth is, both metaphorically and literally. I want you to be what you claim to be.

I searched for feminist organisations that wouldn't do this to trans girls and found the Fawcett Society or HeForShe.

As for Girlguiding it's lovely that Chelmsford steps up.

By the way, are there enough safe spaces for women & girls emergency shelter for victims of gender violence? Nope, right?

It's worth noting that the Government has a massive majority and could fix this in an instant with a one-line piece of legislation. It doesn't want to.

Now we begin to see what ‘gender critical feminism’ wants it is not the defending of women’s spaces but their destruction. They celebrate women’s spaces being opened up to men.

It truly is a man’s rights movement in drag.

They could have just opened Girlguiding up to all genders, the same way Scouts did.

Tbh I was in Rainbows, Brownies, and Guides and this is the first I've even heard of Rainbows and Brownies being girls-only. And I guess our local group didn't get the memo because there was a boy in Rainbows.
