Today was desk cleaning day, so my Inspirational Superheroes (and a villain) got dusted & reorganized. It was also time to add my newest acquisitions which have an appropriate Halloween them (Blade & Werewolf by Night). These heroes make me smile when I glance at them under my monitor while working.

Anyone else a bow tie fan? My collection has grown to the point I needed to get it better organized. If you are a bow tie fan, where do you find yours? My favorite geeky ties I get from www.etsy.com/shop/dappero... Others I have picked up at garage sales or online.

Friday night pizza. We had pizza on Friday evenings growing up which became a habit and a tradition I started with my family as well. If I don’t have pizza for dinner on a Friday I feel off.

After doing some garden winterizing and planting my winter garlic on Friday, we had a date day on Saturday. We had a wonderful lunch together then spent time at our favorite used bookstore, trading in quite a few things for store credit, then brought home a fun geek haul.

Anyone else have a local used bookstore you love hanging out in? This weekend, my wife and I traded in a bunch of old books, dvds, and games for store credit and came away with a wonderful geek haul.

Geeky haul from our local used bookstore including books about Doctor Who and Star Trek, Hollow World D&D campaign box, Seaquest DSV novel, Middle Earth Puzzle, Dark Sun novels, Jim Butcher novel, Madeline L’Engle book, Eurythmics CD, Book of Eli movie, and two heroclix of Blade and Werewolf By Night.

My staycation starts this evening! First, I need to write up my DM notes from our AD&D 1e Supermodule session last night. They successfully finished up the Caves of Chaos from module B2 with only one petrified character and one cursed. Tomorrow I’ll be working in my garden, prepping it for winter.

Phantom of the Opera is the first soundtrack that introduced me to Broadway musicals.
Cats is first I ever saw on stage & seen so many times.
Chess is my favorite to listen to and hope to see someday.
Les Mis is my wife’s fav so we have seen it many times.

Depends on the game. The AD&D 1e combat matrix is a necessity when DMing, as is the turn under, saves, and more. So I use the DM screen constantly. D&D 5e I barely look at it.

I don’t regularly collect comics anymore. I find a new limited series that interests me and get it or older comics from used bookstore. As for new, a couple years ago it was Damage Control and Darkhawk. Now it’s Casey Jones and History of DC. My recent older finds have been Shadowpact and JL Dark.
