It really seems like this administration is trying to eliminate the field of public health. MPHs and DrPHs will no longer be considered "professional degrees" by the DOE and, therefore, will face limits to accessing federal student loans.

Uniformed guess: if something hurts President Trump politically in the Epstein scandal, it won’t be about sex. He’s survived too many of those scandals already. Instead, it’ll be about financial crimes and money laundering. This could be start of a thread that unravels everything.

Brief comments on 50-year home loans & why they may be risky for 1st time home buyers. In short, most 1st time home buyers stay in their home abt 7 yrs. It takes a long time to accrue sig equity w/ a 50-year loan. The equity gained may be so small after 7yrs that they can't afford to move.

PBMs have evolved into one of the biggest scams ever perpetrated. The original intent was good, but they evolved into nearly full grift once we allowed them to be owned by what they were supposed to control.
I’m trying. I think they got the message that the biggest rip off in pharmacy is when patients have to pay the full list price during their deductible phase. And to make matters worse, a big chunk of the money goes to the PBMs and insurance companies

Over my 2+ decades of university teaching I’ve noticed a decline in ability to do simple algebra. However, this is mind blowing! If this is happening at UCSD, imagine other schools!
The UCSD math department administered a test to 138 students in a remedial math class, and 25% of them got this question wrong:
