I wonder if 1080x1920 is just not a thing people do anymore because more and more things are hanging when they flip between responsive modes at 1200px wide and even then the mobile mode tends to look terrible at this resolution.

The IFPA's women's advisory board just collectively resigned. Multiple entire STATE scenes have stopped reporting results to the IFPA so playing there gets you no points. Response to how they've handled this is overwhelmingly enraged.
The IFPA may actually die over this.

I guess the IFPA is in full damage control mode more concerned with addressing accusations of bigotry than anything.

As a lifelong event/community organizer I gotta say: the IFPA ignoring their entire women's league board and not make right on blatant hate-crime tier transphobia that biased against an entire group participating in a rated tournament is a sign of rot in the wood.

Something I'm perpetually salty about is I was out as pan/enby/therian 10+ years ago and it felt isolating being in the speedrunning scene back then.
I burned out for a lot of reasons but I feel like I missed the time to be welcome by a few years and it makes me sad.

So like... there's a group of people who go around and can put tags on people's posts like "This was a rude thing to say", and those tags just SHOW UP on the post when other people view it, and you can't moderate or control this tagging in any way if it's used abusively?

A friend of mine extracted Final Fantasy VI's script, ran it through a battery of translation engines ending back at English, and re-inserted it. The result is... pretty unhinged and amusing IMO.

Retroachievements actually did the right thing. I didn't think any kind of community that went that far into "Neutrality is more important than safety" could possibly walk back.
Like I entirely wrote them off because I didn't think coming back was possible; literally.
