The only image I had of Claymore when I was writing it was his silhouette: A man in a long coat, wide-brimmed hat, and a six-foot long claymore strapped to his back. I traced Wyatt Earp’s silhouette from TOMBSTONE, added the sword, and sent it to @lengog.bsky.social

I agree that Bond belongs to everyone. But I don't think that should make him immortal. Every Bond we've ever had was adapted for the times we lived in. It was fitting for Craig's Bond to have a beginning, middle, and end.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Reminder that, unless a creative freelancer has a spouse with a day job that offers health insurance, they likely have an ACA plan. And with the hits to creative industries the past few years, I'm guessing many qualify for subsidies.

Related reminder that comic creators are freelancers.
The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

I really wanted our comic to have an incredible logo. Something fresh and new, something that stood out, and somehow capture the vibe of the book. So of course there was only one person I could call: @maydaytrippe.bsky.social. And of course they delivered. To see more, visit the link below!

I was talking to Bridgit Conell at #HeroesCon two years ago, telling her about the fantasy western I was working on, and she said, "you know who would absolutely k!ll a variant cover for you? Alessandro Aroffu." She was absolutely right. Grab a copy of his creepy cover while you still can!

Every story I write begins with the question, "what do I want to say? What do people need to hear?" CLAYMORE, my comic that is now on Kickstarter, responded, "you're not born a monster. You choose to be one."

What is CLAYMORE?

I finished my description of Hannah with, “basically we’re going to find out what it would have been like if Lizzy Caplan played Marion Ravenwood.” @lengogart understood the assignment — which, honestly, is my review of every page Len drew. The art of CLAYMORE blows me away.

I told Len Gogou to imagine someone Kurt Russell or Harrison Ford would have played in the 80’s. I wanted someone who looked like he would keep getting back up, despite how many times he got hit. Len sent me this and I knew this book was in good hands. (Link below to see more!)
