Susan B. Anthony was born #OTD in 1820.

She dedicated her life to women's #suffrage, and campaigned for the abolition of slavery, women's property rights, and more: susanbanthonyhouse.org/her-story/bi...

Active until she died in 1906. She never got to vote in her lifetime (well, legally that is).

We told you it would. But to Republicans women are just breeding stock.
Researchers have found that 6 of 10 abortion restrictions — bans on Medicaid funding for abortion, mandated waiting periods, 2nd-trimester abortion bans, ACA marketplace insurance coverage bans, biased counseling laws, and ultrasound requirements — were linked to higher rates of maternal mortality.
Laws restricting abortions linked to rise in 'abhorrently high' maternal mortality rates
Rising state-level abortion restrictions in the United States were linked to a similar, parallel rise in maternal deaths from 2005 to 2023, according to research presented at The Pregnancy Meeting. ...

Not one single Republican had better claim to be a Christian, or believe in a God of any kind when they support a regime that delights in cruelty like this. And all those men & women of “the cloth” who remain silent, you are doubly damned!
A child dying of cancer spent her final days fighting to free her wrongfully detained father from ICE custody.

This comes just weeks after a mother from Maryland was denied the right to be at her son’s side as he died from cancer.

Not one dime for this cruelty.

Not a peep about this mainstream media either. I’m losing my respect for our military. If you don’t have the courage to refuse unlawful orders from some pudgy, demented & hateful old man, you shouldn’t be leading a major military force. Period.

I think that says a lot about us as a nation folks, at least the people we unwisely chose to “lead” us. Apparently the $ was there the whole time to build shelters for the homeless, they just chose not to allocate funding for it. They’ve forgotten that they’re public “servants”, not our masters.
So the United States will only use empty warehouses to house people it wants to terrorize, not people it wants to shelter from the cold.

We really are not a very good-natured country.

I absolutely agree to this as well. I’m already hearing horror stories from Southern states where women are being denied voter registration because their married names don’t match their birth certificates. That’s BS.
February 15, 2026 at 9:39 PM
I 100% agree. No warrants, no probable cause, no trials or a chance to clear your name. Disappear into slave camps, & I shudder to think what happened to all those innocent children he disappeared, knowing now that he’s a pedophile. And nothing but silence from both parties. Disgusting.
I won’t forget.
I won’t forgive.

“Worst of the worst” is a lie used to justify mass harm.

You don’t terrorize this many people to stop a few.

This is an attack on Americans, deliberate, cowardly, and unforgivable.

Actually yes we can. But you need people to do it. And when we do, we’re officially at war. Of course we already are, but the Republicans declared war on us 1st. Just like the South did in the Civil War. But we finished it.
Since we have the right to a well regulated militia, can we have our own jails and arrest traitors to the Constitution (allegedly)?

This whole Epstein File episode has really brought home how much we’ve lost our empathy on a massive scale. There is actual evidence both documented and verified by survivors of horrific crimes. Committed by people at the highest levels. Yet not one of them has been punished.

This is a way to disenfranchise the poor.

Agreed!
I think we are going to have a Democratic-controlled Senate.

And all we will need for the leadership of that Democratic Senate to do is hold actual, real, impeachment trials.

As the Constitution requires.

Not the bullshit fake trials like the ones that the Senate held in 2020 and 2021...

Anyone who sits this election out doesn’t get to claim to be an American. Silence implies consent. I personally don’t consent to fascism. I want a country where we are ALL truly equal & free. That means we need to make some significant changes folks. Starting with the losers who lost their voices!

Thank you for putting that into context. Don’t focus on the numbers, focus on the growth. And the debt. The DOW isn’t a good monitor of overall financial security for the majority of Americans.
The Dow was at 43,488 when Trump took office. It just hit 50,000.

So if you had invested $43,488 in the US, you would now have $50,000. But if you had invested the same amount in the rest of the world, you would now be worth $60,000.

If Jeffries is really that out of touch with reality, he doesn’t deserve to be re-elected. He did some great things while in office. But he clearly lacks the courage that the moment requires of our elected representatives who actually championing democracy. Strongly worded posts won’t suffice.
I think @wajali.bsky.social was clear. He acknowledges the current fight, but asks @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social to lead on the long term goal of abolishing ICE. I don’t understand the leader’s reticence on that very simple, and frankly moderate position.
A simple ? from Wajahat Ali pushes Hakeem Jeffries into a crashout:

"Why not lead and abolish ICE? What you're telling us is you want our taxpayer dollars to pay for a lawless masked armed agency to continue terrorizing our cities."

Jeffries: "I don't understand anything you just said to me."
