the final words of my Covid book, Just drink the Bleach --> "the world's a mirror; up to a point you get back what you put out; it was the best advice for surviving the pandemic. Be nice to people." It still seems to work.

Marjorie Taylor Greene: "I'm talking about the Epstein list. I genuinely don't understand why there's been any effort to hide this & prevent it from coming out. But b/c of the efforts for years now to hide it, it certainly makes you feel afraid when you're one of the ones truly on the frontlines."

I believe that the Epstein files reveal the following:

Epstein was a MOSAD asset who created Kompromat material to use as leverage against powerful men.

That material including sex with young boys as well as girls.

He was also a major money laundering conduit.

The men caught up in the scandal

New Mexico decided to go universal with their free childcare and I hope more states follow suit, not just with childcare, but with cash like Alaska, and with free school meals like Minnesota. Universalism is the way to go in policy design for many, if not most, policies. Taxes can achieve targeting.
New Mexico is the 1st state with universal childcare and more states should embrace universal policy

Please take a moment to call Weaker Speaker Johnson’s office and
(A) Ask why he hasn’t sworn in Rep. Grijvalva
(B)Why isn’t all the billions of $$$$ in tariff money, why hasn’t paid toward our debt!
(C) Is he a pedophile or does he just protect them!

DON'T buy into #MikeJohnson's pathetic excuse for not swearing in duly-elected #AdelitaGrijalva.

Elected official CAN be sworn in during a government shutdown.

Want some precedent?

The full House was sworn in during a government shutdown when a new Congress started in January 2019.
#EpsteinFiles
Swearing-in ceremonies are not halted by a shutdown, because they are constitutional or statutory duties, not discretionary spending activities.

A government shutdown affects agencies and programs that rely on annual appropriations, but Congress itself and the offices of elected officials (federal, state, or local) usually remain operational for essential and constitutional functions.

For example:

Members of Congress can still take the oath of office even if parts of the federal government are closed. Congressional operations are funded separately under permanent appropriations.

Presidents are sworn in on January 20th regardless of any shutdown. The inauguration is a constitutional event that cannot be postponed by funding gaps.

State and local officials are likewise sworn in per their state constitutions or laws — those events are governed by state authority, not federal funding.

An artificial heart for children with congenital heart defects was almost finished. Families had waited for years it.

Then, Trump canceled billions in grants for universities — including the grant for this device.

The cruelty is endless. www.npr.org/2025/10/09/n...
This 4-year-old's heart is failing. A federal grant that might help him was canceled
A Cornell University researcher has been developing an artificial heart for children for more than 20 years. Now, his research is on hold and his lab is shut down.

Astonishing advance by the Greens, astonishing implosion of Labour. When will Starmer's government get the message that it is destroying its base with deeply unpopular, rightwing policies?

By chasing Reform, it legitimises the far right while delegitimising itself.

Latest poll puts Greens just two points behind Labour. When I said we weren't here to be disappointed in Labour but to replace them, I meant it.

Join us and let's make hope normal again.

Poll from find out now showing greens on 15 and labour and Tories on 17. Reform on 32.

“Abbas commended Trump and mediators for significant efforts in reaching agreement, affirming State of Palestine's readiness to work with relevant mediators and partners to ensure its success (..) to achieve stability”

US vetoed UN vote on recognizing Palestinian State. What are you talking about?
President Abbas welcomes President Trump's announcement of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza
9 October 2025
President Mahmoud Abbas today welcomed the announcement by U.S. President Donald Trump of an agreement to cease the war on the Gaza Strip, withdraw of Israeli occupation forces, allow the entry of humanitarian aid, and facilitate a prisoner exchange. President Abbas expressed hope that these efforts would be a prelude to reaching a permanent political solution, as announced by President Trump, leading to an end to the Israeli occupation of the State of Palestine and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967, borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
He also commended President Trump and all mediators for their significant efforts in reaching the agreement, affirming the State of Palestine's readiness to work with relevant mediators and international partners to ensure its success, in order to achieve stability and a lasting and just peace in accordance with international law. The President stressed the need for all parties to commit to the immediate implementation of the agreement, including the release of all hostages and prisoners, the entry of urgent humanitarian aid through United Nations organizations, the prevention of displacement or annexation, and the commencement of the reconstruction process.
He further reminded the international community of its responsibility to compel Israel to halt all its unilateral measures that violate international law, foremost among which are halting settlement activity and settler terrorism. He called for disarming settlers, halting the hate speech practiced by this extremist government against the Palestinian people, stopping attacks on Islamic and Christian holy sites. President Abbas also called for the need to halt undermining Palestinian Authority institutions through the withholding of tax revenues, the strangulation of the Palestinian economy, and the imposition of military checkpoint…

Everything Trump is doing now is a preamble for his regime's real goal: to invoke the Insurrection Act.

I don’t want to unduly alarm you, but you need to be aware of this imminent danger. Let me explain what’s going on.

Trump’s Gaza deal may bring a welcome pause to years of bloodshed — but let’s be clear: one ceasefire doesn’t make him a peacemaker.
While he chases a Nobel Prize abroad, he’s been stoking violence at home.
Peace isn’t a brand. It’s a character test.

We aren't on the verge of an authoritarian takeover. We are in the middle of it.

But I worry people don't see the whole scheme. They just pay attention to each new daily outrage. So I went to the Senate floor to explain Trump's plan.

Here's a 🧵of the speech. It's important.

Kemi Badenoch blames those crossing borders for our problems. It’s a lie aimed to distract.

The real issue is a system protecting the super-rich while nurses & carers can’t make ends meet. Tax wealth fairly, fund public services properly. This is how we give Britain hope again.
