Briana White - Aerith’s voice actress in the FF7 series- is currently running a huge charity auction with a bunch of Final Fantasy memorabilia. And all proceeds are donated Immigrant Defenders Law Center - helping for legal funds and reconnecting families. Take a look! tiltify.com/@thestranger...

searched for "man wearing chainmail" stock photos and got this
i really do find it bizarre. it's an umbrella term - do we get this mad about the term 'trans' or 'queer' for the same reason? if not, why 'transmasc' specifically? i get that it can be used in a degendering way on an individual level, but for communities/resources/etc i don't get it

to be clear i think we are mostly in agreement on this! just some differences in semantics
...(e.g. an 'easier' way to explore bisexuality, a way to temporarily 'access' subcultural queerness for queer men living heternormative lives, or simply something that's seen to make me more desperate than cis women and so easier to exploit, etc)
the flavour of it has varied depending on sexuality, but imo there is the running theme of expectation that my gender/transness is/means/symbolises/etc being whatever that cis man wants or needs it to in the moment
...to transmasc bodies yes, but i have felt still expected to be sexually available to cis men the whole way through my transition and i've had sexually violent experiences with cis men of all sexualities because of that entitlement in a way that doesn't seem to relate to how cis passing i looked
oh i'm 10 years on t, i've not been deniable as a manic pixie girl for a long time. i think you're right about it getting more hostile, but i'm not sure i agree i'd characterise that as being about 'sexual availability'. 'performing attractiveness' and general entitlement...
...are about us being a 'not-quite-man' who is available to cis men for sex (and can fit into basically any understanding one has of his sexuality). it's a different kind of unpersoning imo
hm, i'm not sure i would agree that transmascs are treated as 'sexually unavailable' to cishet men? reproductively unavailable yes (i think it's telling how much surgery anxiety focuses on the hysto), but i think the vast majority of depictions or narratives of transmasc sexuality...
i realise with horror i have become somebody with a lot of opinions on ttrpg mechanics
who would win: me needing to head out because it is unexpectedly late vs my boyfriend unlocking the ttrpg osr infodump as i put my shoes on

truth coming out of her well to shame mankind
i went and had fun! actually played trench crusade instead of kill team, but i have been meaning to get into that so
cafe around the corner from me has a biweekly kill team meetup and i think i'm gonna start going. i know i learn better by being taught in person and they said they'll lend out minis for new people so might be good to try out some different teams before buying (esp bc i am a v slow painter)
cyberpunk neo noir with a cynic-with-a-heart-of-gold detective lady, her homme fatale, and her loyal secretary/bodyguard who's been pining after her for years getting into a love triangle. also t4t4t because it's me (and she gets to fujo out about the boys kissing)
obv i dont have to deal with family issues (the people who'd have a problem with my wife being trans already disowned me lol), and i am more prepared for experiencing queerphobia than cishet men are. but it is a dynamic i think is often invisible to people not in it
i'm a (usually read as cis male) bi trans guy who has mostly dated trans women/transfems, so not exclusively the same, but in some ways i feel more vulnerable to homophobia (esp experiences of it in public spaces) in my straight relationships w them than my actual gay ones?
like i'll never say i'll *never* be t4c again, but i have v limited interest in it

i came out very young, so have only experienced sexuality (even solo) as a trans guy. the only real model i had for sexuality was bottoming for cis men, and other possibilities didn't feel real for a long time
this thread has got all kinds of cogs turning in my head, woof

to thought vomit: i'm bi and only really date t4t now. prev to that i mostly hooked up with cis men, and realising i didn't have to and didn't want to sleep with cis men any more kinda felt like a coming out in itself?
new harness arrives tuesday >:)

too late for monday date :(

If someone uses the words "sex-based rights" then you know immediately that they mean trans people harm.
In an "olive branch" Streeting defended everything he did to strip healthcare from young trans people as right and justified and said absolutely nothing about any way he'd move away from that targeted campaign to eradicate trans people.

Come ON @theguardian.com. This is atrocious.
bit annoying that it starts when my day shifts technically end, but i normally turn up/get relieved 30 mins early so i could just about dump my work bag and pick up minis and go? cant do when night shifts but its v doable generally (which many regular events arent for me)
eventually i'd love to do inquisitorial agents for the sake of having my specific blorbos, but i don't think im a good enough kitbasher yet. torn between navy breechers and tempestus aquilons for now i think? but unsure
