We now live in a world where living with HIV is no longer a lingering spectre and I don't think enough people recognize the miracles that treatments like PrEP have become.

Today is World AIDS Day. I only worked directly with people living with HIV for a year, but it was one of the most meaningful jobs I ever had. HIV devastated a generation of queer people in America, and I think it's worth remembering what that loss was like.
