🌐 The 4th Senior Official Meeting of the countries participating in discussions towards a Fossil Fuel Treaty begins in Brasília, Brazil on Monday Oct 15. It takes place on the sidelines of the pre-COP, where heads of delegations from around the world meet to align on key issues for the COP30 agenda.

In 2024 the oil and gas industry paid BC taxpayers $20,000 for fresh water. They used and poisoned 9 Billion litres of fresh water. Fracking companies should not be allowed to do this. If you want to call in the government to stop letting them you can here act.stand.earth/page/89100/a...

The majority of heat related deaths in European cities this summer were caused by climate change. These figures should terrify us.

This shows us that heat plans not enough – we need strong EU climate targets to cut the emissions causing this dangerous heat.

I paid $4.19 for gas last week. It's about 40 cents more than it has been for the past month.

I put in solar at home last September. I haven't had an electric bill in a year, and that includes four days when the power was off during the wildfires last January.

Sure -- fossil is cheaper. 🙄

Our children and communities are literally choking.

The real ‘con job’ is 8.7m people a year dying from fossil fuel burning. It’s PM2.5 dumped into the homes of billions. It’s our urban centres dosed with toxic air from power plants, oil refineries and mines.

I thought the #ClimateWeekNYC weather felt strangely warm. @zentouro.info told us that yesterday NYC was 7 degrees hotter than normal.

She also mentioned that US scientists can no longer contribute to IPCC and that a couple months ago she was kicked out of her office by DOGE 😡🤬😤 Dystopian much?

Not sure why BC Premier David Eby is speaking at #ClimateWeekNYC

Fracking has expanded dramatically under his admin and B.C.’s latest Climate Change Accountability Report says the province will miss its 2030 pollution reduction target by 50% & this doesn’t even account for future LNG terminals.
