I paid $4.19 for gas last week. It's about 40 cents more than it has been for the past month.

I put in solar at home last September. I haven't had an electric bill in a year, and that includes four days when the power was off during the wildfires last January.

Sure -- fossil is cheaper. 🙄

Our children and communities are literally choking.

The real ‘con job’ is 8.7m people a year dying from fossil fuel burning. It’s PM2.5 dumped into the homes of billions. It’s our urban centres dosed with toxic air from power plants, oil refineries and mines.

I thought the #ClimateWeekNYC weather felt strangely warm. @zentouro.info told us that yesterday NYC was 7 degrees hotter than normal.

She also mentioned that US scientists can no longer contribute to IPCC and that a couple months ago she was kicked out of her office by DOGE 😡🤬😤 Dystopian much?

Not sure why BC Premier David Eby is speaking at #ClimateWeekNYC

Fracking has expanded dramatically under his admin and B.C.’s latest Climate Change Accountability Report says the province will miss its 2030 pollution reduction target by 50% & this doesn’t even account for future LNG terminals.

And Environmental Defense Fund standing on the stage with him supporting this so called compromise? Really the last straw for me. I have long thought their leadership on methane was too conciliatory. Especially given the excellent research and policy development that their shop produces.

To add insult to injury he is calling it an energy affordability bill playing right into the hands of the industry by reinforcing their message box: regulate us, reduce our product (which yes we know is literally killing you) and it will hurt affordability (which by the way is not true).

Gavin Newsom just passed a bill to increase oil drilling. After pounding the podium about standing up to Big Oil and being a climate leader last year. In a state that has literally been on fire THIS YEAR. And we know fires will get much worse unless we phase out fossil fuels.
