Taking it slow these first days of 2026.

Got a whiteboard for the new office and it's already full.

Goals, priorities, processes, everything mapped out for the year. Sometimes the best way to move fast is to start slow 😁

Getting ready for New Year's :)

Honestly, super excited for 2026. How are you guys spending it today?

Best way to learn anything fast:

Start a project slightly above your skills.

You'll either figure it out or fail trying.

Both teach you more than tutorials or theory ever will.

The second option on your contact form is telling people what your average price is.

If you don't want $5-10k projects, take them off.

We removed ours and only left 10-20k as the starting point. Fewer leads, but way better fit.

Client: "We found cheaper agencies, can you lower your price?"

Me: "No, but good luck with the project."

If the cheapest option felt right, you wouldn't be asking me to lower my price. You'd just take it.

We both know how this plays out.

Best tip for designers working with startups: start building a design system early.

Even a simple one. Tokens, components, documentation.

It feels like extra work at first but it saves so much pain later when the product grows and more people are touching it.

Quick look at our @designme rebrand work in progress. Moving onto our new site design next.

Planning to roll it all out in January.

Nothing changed our sales more than getting genuinely busy.

When you're not desperate for the deal, it shows. When you can walk away, people usually lean in.

The less available we became, the more people wanted to lock us in.

Demand is always weird like that.

So much for taking it slow this week.

5 discovery calls booked over the weekend,

One call with a potential new hire (🤞), and 10+ warm leads that need follow-ups.

Monday is full!

Not complaining though, let's finish strong before Christmas :)

Weekend scheduling done!

Going to be a bit quieter from me this week, fewer posts than usual while the holidays are here.

Back to normal rhythm after Christmas 🎄

Enjoying the slower pace and letting things breathe a bit. Hope everyone gets some proper rest over the next few days.

The longer I run this agency, the more I realize:

Saying no is part of the job.

If the scope’s unclear, the timeline’s too tight, or the whole thing just feels off, it’s okay to walk away.

Focus on projects that play to your strengths.
Not every deal is worth doing.

The gap between "good enough" and "great" design is smaller than you think.

It's usually 5 details:

→ Font weights
→ Visual alignment
→ Consistent spacing
→ Line height and leading
→ Intentional color choices

Small details. Big difference.
