You know how billionaires end up with severe cognitive deficits as a result of becoming surrounded by yes men who constantly tell them their every idea is genius? What if we made a bot that just does that to everyone. I think that would be a good idea.

It’s infuriating to me that I need to evaluate media to determine whether it’s AI generated now. The great “time saver” technology wastes incalculable time and energy for people who want to retain their grasp on reality

Mass pardons are coming. There will be no accountability without treating those as null and void. And that means a future administration taking an official position that Trump is not the legitimate president right now because he is disqualified by the 14th Amendment. The two things are inextricable.

I hate that my brain can't just sit with something being sad without jumping immediately to "how is the unhinged president going to respond to/use this tragedy?"

Seeing how much of the right-wing on Twitter is just bot farms, kinda lays bare how much hate and hatred is a project that needs to be constantly maintained, a fire that needs to be fed all the time lest it go out for a moment, so much time, effort, and resources to keep people angry and hateful.

years ago they cast Don Cheadle in a grim dark version of Captain Planet for laughs but they should have just made the actual movie
people older than me and people younger than me are equally ignorant of climate change as a global crisis

Keep up the good work, Chicago! Sounds like 62 ads along the Brown line need defacing.
Yesterday my partner and I counted all the ads along Chicago's Brown Line for "Friend," a company selling an AI chatbot pendant, and tallied how many of those ads were defaced.

Still working on a longer piece on this, but here's the quick and dirty: we counted 104 "Friend" ads total, 42 defaced.

This is a gentle nudge to look this up if you put gravel at the bottom of your house plants.
Just helped repot a huge monstera and I got to teach my sisters about perched water tables. Always super satisfying as a youngest child (with four super accomplished siblings) to be all "hold up fam, let me show you how it's done."
