Follow me if you want ramblings about labor, obscure Nickelodeon lore and whatever else runs through my brain. Sometimes I make content for my AI-free, working-class RPG.
Me too. It has such a theme of abandonment and dread.

Occasionally I throw in a "you're worthless," for variety.

The Brave Little Toaster came on the other day so I've been singing "it's like a movie, it's a b-movie show" for the past 72 hours.

I'm wearing my Phil Moore sweater today so all day I'm gonna be like "PUZZLES, POINTS, POP QUIZZES AND PRIZES!" and telling people they have control of Mikey on the board.

Happy birthday Mewtwo! The abandoned Pokemon Mansion on Cinnabar Island is my fav location in gen 1 Pokemon. When I was a kid I found it far creepier than Lavender Town. The music and location gave a general atmosphere of "you're not supposed to be here."

Has anyone done a "turn undead" like ability in Cairn or a system derived from it?

What a fucking loser

Years ago in an ancient XE article, you pondered if there were any TMNT Puddin' Pies left. One of the lines you used was "a rarely swept deli," and that line has lived rent free in my head for decades for how evocative I found it.

Anyways, one of the quirks of the dialect is that it uses a lot of really old fashioned words, so in the alternate universe where I did learn it, I'd love to go to Paris and just see the reaction of stuffy Parsisians when I start talking like an 18th century peasant.

Unfortunately, the state of Rhode Island systemically destroyed the vibrant "Little Canada" in the 1920s, but even when I was a kid 20-30 years ago there was still remnants. Sometimes I'd be with my grandfather and some old timer would approach him and just start speaking French.

I wish I had learned the hyper local dialect of French that was spoken by both of my grandfathers. My city 100 years ago was like 80% Francophones and there were like 3rd generation Americans who spoke almost exclusively French.

This show had already finished airing years before I first started watching it in a 6:30am graveyard slot on weekends in 1997.

Nick Arcade came on and it's a good one. Two of the kids are actually pretty good at video games and are clearly the video challenges np. One of them said his favorite game was Double Dragon III and the other said Streets of Rage II.

Love the last decade of elected Democrats being like "Oh you thought we were joking? About Donald Trump being a damn threat to democracy?!" and when you're like "Yeah man, I agree, you going to do something about it?" and they're like "What I am going... to... Do about it... is... you give me $20"
