Palestinian analyst Muhammad Shehada reports Hamas has long accused Nasman of collecting intelligence, recruiting and operating networks inside Gaza, and carrying out systematic efforts to destabilize Hamas’ rule. These allegations include involvement in the assassination of two members of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, as well as violent acts such as vehicle bombings and organizing anti-Hamas unrest. Hamas considers Nasman a “collaborator” and later sentenced him in absentia to 15 years in prison, Shehada says. A 2015 Gaza Interior Ministry / military court notice (attached) shows Nasman was summoned by a military court and given 10 days to surrender, underscoring the depth of that rift. Despite this history, Hamas is now expected to hand internal security control to Nasman, and place Gaza’s police forces under his authority. The move comes amid broader reporting on Israel’s role in reshaping Gaza’s security landscape. Sky News has documented evidence that Israel backs at least five armed gangs operating east of Gaza’s “yellow line,” several linked to looting, assassinations, and internal violence. In the past week, a leader from one of those militias claimed responsibility for assassinating the Khan Younis police chief, promising “more surprises” for “Hamas dogs” in the coming days. Gaza authorities have also said that Israel has killed around 2,700 Interior Ministry police and security personnel—about 15% of the force—during the genocidal war, in an effort to weaken Gaza’s internal security ahead of this transition. Many were systematically targeted as they were guarding aid convoys or breaking up Israeli-backed looting operations. 🚨Witkoff's phase 2 of the Gaza ceasefire is a sham; Israel is already preparing a sweeping military rampage in all of Gaza "without restrictions"; Israel manipulated the list of Gaza's new Administrative Committee to put it on a collision course with Hamas & collapse. That's what Netanyahu means by "phase 2 is symbolic"! 1- Israel changed the minister of security to one of Hamas' top archenemies, Major General Sami Nasman; a Palestinian Authority intelligence officer who was sentenced in abstentia to 15 years in prison by a Hamas court in Gaza. Hamas accuses Nasman of involvement in the assassination of 2 PIJ members, collecting intel on the group & recruiting & operating a network in Gaza that took systematic actions to destabilise Hamas' rule in the enclave (e.g. violent attacks to cause unrest, such as blowing up vehicles, organizing anti-Hamas protest). Witkoff's announcement of Phase 2's technocratic committee is mainly meant to give the impression of progress out of fear of the ceasefire collapsing, but Israel remains intransigent to move forward. 4- With or without the new Admin Committee, Israel will continue to bomb Gaza, prevent reconstruction, besiege the enclave & squeeze 2.4 million Gazans in the "Red Zone" of about 40% of Gaza's area; which means the eventual collapse of a committee meant to run Gaza but has no power to even deliver services in an area with no infrastructure, electricity, water, sanatation...etc.

Deliberately impoverishing a nation in order to provoke a civil war is one of the most evil things you can possibly think of. But that's what the US has been doing to Iran. Trying to make people suffer so much that the death and destruction of civil war becomes preferable to the status quo.
