Something that will be super hard to digest for Microsoft is that Game Pass, by its nature, cannibalizes sales. That's not intrinsically anything but moving $ from sales to subscription has a massive impact on public perception of value.

It's really sad watching Lewis Hamilton struggle. This era of car has not been kind of think, maybe the next will, but in the mean time I don't think he's doing anything to justify his contract, let alone a drive.

Journalist challenge: Use “Machine Learning” when you mean machine learning and “LLM” when you mean LLM. Ditch “AI” as a catch-all term, it’s not useful for readers and it helps companies trying to confuse the public by obscuring the roles played by different technologies. 🧪

Spore was huge. My friends and I would spend hours messing with the creator. Hours.
Tbh kids today have no idea how hyped Spore was before it came out. It was GTA VI levels of hype for its day and then it came out and was just Spore.
I’m excited to sit down with this new game I bought. It’s called Spore ever heard of it? Now where is my cd-drive….

We can and should boycott The Game Awards. We can just not talk about it at all, not go, totally ignore the whole thing and just report about the trailers when they go up on YouTube.

Conflating machine learning tools with GenAI and LLMs are such a favorite of these bad faith arguments, too. Like, machines studying X-rays to better understand cancer is not the same thing as Open AI swallowing all my books via piracy to regurgitate sentences that sound similar. It's just not.

He could have always launched this investigation. Literally nothing was stopping him from doing it on day 1. Obviously it's a distraction but it's one he deliberately kept in his pocket. Just something to ask your family about at Thanksgiving.

There's probably a lot of reasons but one familiar to me is stimming.
I don't really even "want" to do this. Sometimes it feels like if even 1% of my brain is not engaged then 0% is engaged.
For a group of people, our "normal" is barrage of stimulus.
